He is a retired, third-generation longshore worker, past secretary-treasurer of International Longshore Workers Union (ILWU) Local 10, and co-founder of the Million Worker March movement. ILWU Local 10’s action shows the way forward for workers fighting to end white supremacy.

Rebecka Jackson recently traveled to Minneapolis and gave a first-hand report on the struggle to abolish police and state repression. She resides in Los Angeles and is an artist and organizer for the Socialist Unity Party. Jackson was a victim of police violence.
